FAQs
Who are we?
Hello, my name's Dan and I want to help you move better for longer so that you can have a higher quality and quantity of life. After over a year of tendon related problems that left me limping and bent over and unable to stand up straight - I have seen a tremendous improvement in my walking gait from joint health training. After visiting physiotherapist after physiotherapist and having mixed results from their advice: some success, some ineffectual, and some were actively harmful - I spent time off work reading about joint health and and experimenting with different training regimes. I am now walking and standing better than I ever have done after just 8 weeks of application and I want to help you do the same.
Why focus on joint health?
We all know movements good for us but somewhere along the way, the demands of modern life and aging stop us in our tracks. We develop lower back pain, our shoulders start rounding forwards, a twinge here and a twinge there - perhaps you work out a few times a week and keep finding yourself with injury after injury, perhaps you've been sedentary for so long due to work demands or an injury - and you've developed tightness around your body and things just aren't moving as well as they should be. Perhaps you've tried stretching and realised it doesn't work for you. Perhaps you've even given up. There’s a better way and it starts with your joints.
Why are hips so important?
Our hips are there to help propel us forward, they are used in walking, running and carrying - all very human related activities and they are the central joint in our body. Our glutes maximus, the primary mover of our hips is the most powerful muscle in our body and our modern lifestyles, sitting in chairs for 6-14 hours a day, leave this important muscle weak and ineffectual, our hips flexors get tight and we develop pelvic tilt and flat butts (not sexy).
What is your product roadmap?
The first version will solely focus on hip health and will be based out of Notion. Future programs will provide a science-based approach for the two additional major weight bearing joints: knees and ankles plus the shoulders. Once we have sufficient sign ups the app will be expanded.
